Knifemaking Tuesdays Week 13 - more test blades and flipper framelock action! Media

For week 13 I didn't have a lot of time in the day to devote to my knifemaking adventure, but even still I got a lot of testing done. I was able to make 3 new test blades for testing my flipper lever and framelock engagement. The flipper lever works awesome, the size is great and the action feels good. The detent still needs to be a bit harder, but that's easy to fix with more testing. Even after 3 blades I never cut the lock tang deep enough to get any engagement, so it will take more practice blades until I get that exactly right. The lockbar tension feels great, but it could use either an access groove on the display scale or some good beveling where you thumb goes to disengage the lock. More testing required.
