Carbon Fiber MiniA100 scales Media

Today I made some CF scales for an Emerson Mini A100 knife, these are for my buddy Victorinoxfan here on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/victorinoxfan
Had a few problems while machining them, didn't get any of that on video though, mostly machine related issues. Carbon fiber will make a brand new HSS drill bit dull after just a few holes, it's crazy. Carbide tooling lasts a lot longer, which is nice for my ex$pen$ive endmills. This time I used a shop vac to suck up all the dust and had the garage door open for ventilation, as well as wearing my 3M dust mask on while machining. Sanding them went very smoothly with only a few little areas getting pulled up, as shown. CF is awesome!
