How To Make Knives - Sanding Out The Bevels - American Knife Maker.
The Fallen Star - Part 4
In this video I continue to show The Fallen Star Knife build, after having machined the bevels. Here I am removing the machining marks from steel, essentially sanding out the bevels, using cratex rubberized abrasives, and a foredom flex shaft. Cratex wheels, and the foredom tx flex shaft, are tools and supplies for jewelry making, that I purchased out of a Rio Grande catalogue. Removing machining tool mark, is difficult manual hand labor, and really sucks, in truth it is drudgery. Most people who don’t know how to make knives with CNC, assume there is no handwork, but nothing is further from the truth. While I smile in the video, the truth is sanding out the bevels, especially on a hollow grind bevel, is gonna really suck. Anyways, I’m rambling. Making knives is dangerous, and it is important to protect your lungs with a p100 respirator. The video ends, with the mr deburr 300db.
100% Made in the USA, I’m an American Knife Maker.
