Machining Knife Handles - Custom Made Folding Pocket Knives.
The Fallen Star
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ VIDEO ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
This video features machining titanium grade 5, and shows how to make a titanium knife handle. I go into some detail about how to make a knife with a milling machine, for use in my custom made folding pocket knives. After using a single point thread milling program on the inside of the knife, for a thread mill, I go into details about how to make a titanium knife handle. Making a pocket for the caged bearings, engraving the serial numbers, makers mark and so on. Next I tumble all of the parts including the blades inside the mr deburr tumbler. After the tumbler, I use a knife making grinder to profile out the titanium folding knives handles. I am extremely happy with my beaumont metal works grinder. It is one heck of a knife making grinder. Honestly I use the Beaumont metal works knife grinder in every build of my custom made folding pocket knives, at some point or another. Being a knife maker is really hard, and lonely work, but fortunately I’m not talking to my machinery yet, just the camera. So if any of you out there are actually reading this description, please by all means, drop a comment and a like on the video. I will definitely try and respond with in a few days. Also I want to emphasize that TITANIUM DUST IS COMBUSTABLE! It is a danger that should be recognized, mitigated, and controlled. Don’t forget to make a swarf shield. Anyways this is a great learning video for knife making cnc. I hope you dig the Telecaster music, and drop me a like if you do. If you want to contact me directly for business inquiry feel free to Email me.
