Centuries of tradition meets infinite imagination. Introducing the limited edition Hirin™ – designed by acclaimed knifemaker Dew Hara in Seki, Japan. Available only on CRKT.com, this Italian made ultra-premium folding knife uses Super Dense Twist™ Damasteel® blade steel, anodized titanium handles and bead-blasted stainless steel screws. Even the bespoke pocket clip, also Damasteel®, perfectly complements the knife’s sleek, symmetrical shape. Press down on the flipper and the dagger-shaped blade, sharp on just a single edge, glides to action on IKBS™ bearings. The knife’s sleek, aerodynamic shape was inspired by Dew's childhood love of science fiction and starships. The name, too, references outer space: “hirin” means “flying ring” in Japanese, symbolic of the rising sun.
