Our 4th addition to the American Heroes series is the Pack Axe-built for tough work and survival, with an exceptional design that begins and ends with a single 3/8-inch thick piece of 80CRV2 steel to resist the cracks and splinters you get with a traditional wooden-handled axes. The Pack Axe features a hefty head with an edge that's sharp out of the box. The blunt end can be used as a mallet for pounding stakes or nails, tapping rocky terrain and taking on small scale demolition. Durable canvas laminate grips and a tapered, skeletonized handle promote better balance for more accurate in-hand strikes that can cut deep. A paracord wrap offers extra whenever you need it. Reinforced ballistic nylon straps attach to the custom head guard for belt carrying. You can even hang the axe around the campsite by using the hexagon-shaped hole at the knob whenever you're on break. The Case Winkler Pack Axe cuts through the challenges of outdoor survival.
