knife abuse Media

This knife was developed for people who might find themselves in situations where they may need to press a knife beyond normal use. I made this quick and dirty video to illustrate the durability and tip strength of the knife because I think most people need to see it to understand it. This is the same knife in four videos with nothing done to it other than cleaning the concrete off of it, no resharpening etc.
I start off cutting through three 6 penny nails, then move on to hammering the point into a concrete block, then chopping up a cinder block and cutting some cardboard to show the edge held up well enough that it could still cut. When it was all done the only damage to the knife was the edge was dulled and the finish was scratched up.
There is no magic voodoo to this, it is carefully chosen high quality steel (Latrobe A2) with a high quality heat treat (including cryo, finished hardness HRC59) coupled with appropriate geometry and real world testing that work together to make a very strong modern combat fighter.
