K18, CPM 3V, Sword destruction demo Media

We needed to validate our heat treat on this project before doing the entire run. We decided to record some of it and I recently found the time to put some of it together in a video!
I hear some of you guys moaning and belly aching already. I know, this whole video is dumb. Relax, we're just trying to have some fun with it.
The Sword is CPM 3V with the Delta heat treat protocol. It was designed by Dr. Dan Keffeler and made here at our shop as a collaboration. It was designed for a competitive cutting TV show and we made a few for a pre-order.
It is 3/16" thick with an 18" blade. This prototype was sharpened at 20 degrees per side.
Historical swords would be ruined by these stunts. This sword was absolutely fine when we were done here. It took very little set (you couldn't slide a credit card between the blade and a flat surface) it was sharpened and sent to Dan where he used it to one-hit some 2X4s with it.
