Vantrue Dashcam Install on GSXR 750 - Custom rear bracket, front camera placement Media
Published: 4 days ago
How to mount a dashcam on a GSXR 750. Where to place the front camera, where to place the rear camera. Where to place the remote control for the camera operation.
I used pop rivets to mount the front camera directly to the fairing (also used the sticky tape provided). I put the camera off the side of the fender to make sure there was still clearance when the fork was compressed. With the wheel turned there could still be a clearance issue, but I don't think you would be under full compression with the wheel turned that far?
I made a small bracket out of 1" by 1/8" aluminum for the rear bracket and bolted it to the rear fender bolts. I have the Yoshimura tidy tail and I did need to make two 1/8" spacers to lower the bracket and clear the well it bolts into and clear the rivets off to the side.
Overall I think the install came out pretty clean and the video is very clear and stable. More stable in the front, you can see some bounce on the rear video but still plenty clear to record what you need.
