Tormach 1100MX CNC Project Start to Finish - Designed in Fusion 360 & Built on a Tormach Media
Published: 3 years ago
My neighbor needed some new brackets for his dining room table to hold the table leaf's in place. I took his brass sample and made him 3 more out of 7075 Aluminum.
In this video I also try Conversational Machining with my Tormach 1100MX for the first time using Path Pilot. Conversational was not quite as intuitive as I thought, or I was just off my game. Either way, I figured it out and it will be much easier to use in the future.
This was a great beginner CNC project as I am still learning Fusion 360 and this new Tormach 1100MX. I timed how long it took me to fully design this part in Fusion and set up all the CAM manufacturing steps and send the code to my Tormach. I still need to get a little faster but very happy with how this part turned out.
I used a Glacern Machine Tools 4" vise to hold this part in my Tormach.
Thanks for watching!
