Triple"B"S Knife Lock Build Series - Part 6 Cover Plates, Etching In Logo & Final Assembly Media
Published: 3 years ago
Finished the cover plates, used a Personalizer Plus Electro Chemical Etching Tool to add my BladesIIB logo and complete assembly on this Triple"B"S Knife Lock Patent No. US 10,981,283.
If you are looking for something different than the standard Frame Lock or Liner Lock folding knife designs, check out this new Triple"B"S knife lock to add variety to the folding knife locking mechanisms available today. I am taking this design from prototype to production with my new Tormach 1100MX CNC Mill. This sixth and final video in the series goes through completing the cover plates for the lock mechanism, including engraving the patent number with my Tormach 1100MX CNC mill, etching the BladesIIB Logo on the blade with a Personalizer Plus Electro Chemical Etching Machine and completing the final assembly of this knife with lock mechanism. The blade is CPM154 Stainless and the Handle Slabs are 6AL4V Grade 5 Titanium.
The Triple"B"S Lock Mechanism - short for Bud Beets Ball Slide - is my own design and is available for lease or other licensing agreement. TripleBS Knife Lock
Tormach 1100MX Knife Build Series. CNC work completed on a Tormach 1100MX CNC Mill. Design work completed in Fusion 360. Work Holding with a Glacern Machine Tools 4" CNC vise.
