Pierson Pro Pallet On A Tormach 1100 MX - Unboxing, Pallet Design, Set Up, Review & Minor Crash Media
Published: 2 years ago
This video covers the full unboxing and review of the Pierson Pro Pallet system from Pierson Workholding. Then I discuss Pallet design in Fusion 360, using single point of origin for CNC Milling and set up this complete Pro Pallet system on my Tormach 1100MX. For the single point of origin I am using work offset 9 in Fusion 360, which is work offset 59.3 in Path Pilot.
In addition to the 7 extra pallets I purchased from Pierson Workholding, I also designed a ½" plate that will mount on top of their pallets and show the design and manufacture of that plate and how I plan to use that for knife making.
I create the vise pallet and mount my vise on a Pierson Workholding pallet and show the tram repeatability when taking the pallet on and off. I also demonstrate the Z height consideration when using the Pierson Pro Pallet system with a vise on the Tormach 1100MX.
Overall this pallet system is amazing and using a single point of origin and pallets should significantly increase my CNC mill productivity.
In this video I do have one minor CNC Mill crash where I have the top height for a hole set incorrectly and crash a ½ inch drill into to the top of a pallet and stall my CNC Mill. Later I E-Stop my Tormach during a tapping operation and have to figure out how to reset my machine since I can't remove the tap from the BT30 Collet, the spindle just turns.
Tune in for more videos about pallet design and use.
Thanks for watching!
