From Overworked to Inspired: My New Studio Ritual Media

My daily routines in the shop and studio needed to change.
Over the last year, maybe two, going to work has started to feel like just that: work.
Too many days were spent planning production, answering emails, sourcing materials, or stressing over deadlines (usually ones I set myself). Despite working with my hands every day, I wasn’t giving myself enough room to be genuinely creative.
So I decided to start the year with a new routine.
I now dedicate one full day a week solely to creative work. No boundaries on what I can work on—but very clear boundaries on what I must not do. No shop work. No emails. No social media. No logistics.
And yes, I love routines.
